The All Schools Island, Sevens is a new competition for rugby teams from schools in the Colchester area. J
ointly hosted by Mersea Island Rugby Club and Thomas Lord Audley School to celebrate their partnership supported by England Rugby under the’ CBRE All Schools’ Programme.
The event was sponsored by Visionscape and RTG Rail Services and all participates received a souvenir pack containing t-shirt, gym bag, water bottle and various England Rugby gifts.
The primary objective was to promote the core values of the sport (Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline & Sportsmanship) in a safe and positive environment to Year 7, 8, 9 & 10 Teams representing ten secondary schools.
All four year groups were well represented by the Thomas Lord Audley School with several stand out performances but the Year 7 team were rewarded for their passion of the sport and fierce tackling with the Runners-up trophy and Sportsmanship award.
