At The Thomas Lord Audley our goal is to prepare students for the next steps post 16, both for further education and the working environment. We offer a variety of activities and workshops throughout Year 7 to Year 11, these give opportunities for students work with professionals in a variety of different industries. This preparation work ensures that students are equipped with the correct expectations and aspirations to succeed in whichever path they decide to embark upon.

September Guarantee
The September Guarantee is a guarantee of an offer, made by the end of September, of an appropriate place in post-16 education or training for every young person completing compulsory education. Ensuring that every young person has an offer of a place to progress onto is particularly important as it helps young people make a seamless transition into post-16 learning or employment with training.
The September Guarantee is supported by good quality information, advice and guidance. This can come from a number of sources which include:

On-line and printed information about courses, progression routes and employment routes
What does the Guarantee offer?
The September Guarantee is an offer of a place in one of the following:

A school sixth form

A college of further education

Employment with training to at least level 2

An apprenticeship

Careerometer
The Careerometer is a widget that can be used to gain and compare key information about occupations and careers based in the UK that students may want to pursue in their future. This will display information such as Weekly Pay, Annual Pay, Hourly Pay, Hours per Week, the workforce growth and the percentage of the workforce that is projected to retire.
